If Hollywood makes a movie based on a book, do you watch the movie or do you read the book? Do you do both? Which one do you do first? Why or why not?

Sometimes I'LL READ THE BOOK FIRST, OTHER TIMES SEE THE MOVIE FIRST. sOMETIMES SEE A MOVIE AND SKIP THE BOOK.

i'd do both if it's something i'm into, and i'd read the book first then the movie to see how the movie compares to the book...

Makes no difference to me.
If I want to see the movie, doesn't matter if there is a book. And vice-versa.
Been my experience that Hollywood always deviates so far from the book, that it really doesn't matter.

Yep, and sometimes it matters, sometimes it doesn't.
Makes an interesting point, when someone reads a book or comic, they have a standard to measure the movie. In other words, there are "expectations". Expectations that you don't have, if you have never read the book and are just expecting whatever the movie gives you...
Heck, sometimes the movie is better than the book!

very true, also maybe some movies/stories don't need a book before it, maybe after it...

There IS one instance I can think of, where Hollywood pretty much followed the book...
And it was wonderful!!!
Peter Jackson's version of Lord Of The Rings.

Gasp! I'm shocked! Shocked, I say!
You have got to put that on your "to do" list...
My highest recommendation.
